As this first week of virtual learning is quickly ending, I found myself reflecting, on Karen’s Salmansohn’s words, “The most challenging times bring us the most empowering lessons.” Although the virtual learning may not have been as smooth as we may had hoped for, we are definitely gaining new experiences and lessons along the way. Below you will find creativity resources, time management graphic organizers, and a weekly schedule organizer. The weekly schedule organizer may be very beneficial for the middle school student and his/her virtual learning. Enjoy!
Creativity Resources for Home:
- 30 DAY LEGO CHALLENGE: Click the link below to access an awesome Lego creativity starter prompts. Please feel free to save and/or print this “calendar” which provides a new LEGO challenge each day, for 30 days. Consider using this as an “inspirational springboard,” rather than a strict set of guidelines. Just let your student be creative and feel inspired to build something from his or her own imagination! If they would like to share their creations with me, please consider sending me pictures or videos. You can connect with me through email and Schoology.
- Here are a few possibilities of how you can incorporate this daily building/creativity calendar with other learning experiences:
- Have a LEGO Challenge race:
- Who can complete their challenge the quickest?
