Boosterthon Fun Run Contract

Our annual Boosterthon Fun Run fundraiser is right around the corner. Our goal for this year is to raise $50,000 to replace playground equipment. The kickoff will be on February 8th, and the run will be on Thursday, February 16th. Please remember if you would like to attend the Fun Run, you will need to be an approved volunteer. Registration is now open on:  MYBOOSTER.COM  As an extra incentive, if we have 20% of our students pre-registered before the kickoff, students will get a popsicle party after their run. Thank you for your support. We are excited for this fun event!

Thank you so much to families for making our “Saxon’s Sweets” tree a success!  Between the adorable ornaments, sparkly lights, and tempting gift cards to YUMMY spots all over town, I would say it was a HUGE success!  A super shout-out to our room parent, Amber Halcrow for going above and beyond.

I plan to have an ornament making station for my block.  Crafts would need to be completed in 30 minutes to get through all rotations and volunteers would need to provide all materials.  Let me know if you are interested!  I appreciate your help BIG time!

Our class voted on the theme of “Saxon Sweet Treats” for our tree in the Festival of Trees PTAO event.  Please help make this happen!  We have a mini tree we need to decorate.  Here are a few ideas to help make our class tree a success:

  • small battery-powered lights
  • mini candy or ice cream ornaments
  • gift card to Rita’s, MayDay, Coneheads,  Kilwin’s, Savannah Sweets, Whetstone, etc. ($5 or $10)

Thank you for your help! All items are due by Monday, 12/12. Fingers crossed one of our students will be a winner of one of these awesome trees!

Check HAC and your child’s progress on A.R. weekly.  Help hold them accountable for their class grades, A.R. points, and percentage correct in A.R.  Making education a priority in your home will have a positive impact on their academic career.  No homework on the weekends – enjoy this beautiful weather!

DISHS Homework

Please double check your child’s math homework to make sure they are on the right track.  The homework is a review of concepts we have gone over in class – it will not be anything new.   If they are really stuck on a problem, skip it and I will go over it in the morning.  I appreciate your help!
