Important info regarding Mega Party:

This is just a quick note with some guidelines for this year’s MEGA Party, coming up on Monday, May 22nd (with a rain date of Tuesday, May 23rd).

First and foremost, we need volunteers!  Parents, guardians, and any building-access-approved relative (we’re not picky!), please click this link to sign up to help out, either serving snow cones or monitoring a bounce house: http://signup.com/go/MATBlOj

– When students arrive for their time slot, they should remove their shoes when they enter Coach Durr field Shoes can be left at the fence.  We are highly (highly highly – did I mention highly?) encouraging students to WEAR SOCKS!  The bounce houses can get hot, and socks will prevent little feet from being scorched.

Also, if you have extra socks your child could bring in to offer to someone else who might have forgotten, it would be greatly appreciated!

– All students must remove eyeglassesjewelry, and any hard or sharp objects before coming out to the field.  If a student can’t see to walk out to the field without eyeglasses, they can wear them out to the field, but they need to be removed and handed to a teacher or parent volunteer before entering a bounce house.  If a student absolutely cannot see well enough to bounce without eyeglasses, I am sure we can make an exception, but no guarantees that the eyeglasses will come out of the bounce houses in one piece.  Sport eyeglasses that will stay on a child’s head via strap are okay.

– We will again have some non-bounce activities .. “shooting stars” basketball and tee-ball  so if kids can’t bounce for whatever reason, there will be something they can do.

– All students must empty their pockets before coming out to the field. Otherwise, stuff LIKE FIDGET SPINNERS will invariably end up LOST ?  .  Especially no pencils, pens, or again, anything remotely sharp!   These are bad for anything inflatable.

– Absolutely NO flips, wrestling, or other forms of “rough housing” are allowed in the bounce houses.

– There will be snow cones out at the field for kids.  One snow cone per student.

– Parents/guardians should apply sunblock to their kids before they get to school.

– The schedule:

8:40-9:30 Kindergarten

9:40-10:30- 3rd grade

10:40-11:30- 5th grade

11:40- 12:30- 4th grade

12:40-1:30- 1st grade

1:40-2:30- 2nd grade

– If it rains on Monday, tell your kids not to panic!  The party will then happen on the following day (Tuesday).  Hopefully if it rains this year, knowing this in advance will avoid any tears.

– Teachers can bounce too!!

Song requests (new this year!): http://bit.ly/MP2017SongParents should fill out this form on behalf of their child, and all requests WILL be vetted for appropriateness!

Email, or text me with any questions you might have (my info is below.. parents are welcome to as well) and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Thank you!
