As Spring Break Approaches…..

Happy “ALMOST”  Spring Break to you all!

There are only 48 school days left to the year. This is an exciting and sometimes overwhelming time for us, as well as our children, as we try and end the school year strong.

Helpful Tips
Check your child’s schools website for upcoming testing and end of year activity dates.
Plan ahead with your child on what needs to be done to end the year strong.

Reach out to teachers and counselors if you feel your child is overwhelmed or needs some extra TLC.

Plan something fun with your family over Spring Break to help your child enjoy their time home. Some great ideas can be found at: https://www.thespruce.com/spring-break-activities-for-children-3128954

As we return to school, please be on the lookout for:
Middle School and High School Registrations (if they haven’t been completed already!), as well as, Gifted Progression Educational Plans to be written for RISING 5th and 8th grade.

As the end of the school year approaches, it becomes time to address the progression of gifted services for current 5th and 8th grade students. In an attempt to make the transition to middle and high school as smooth as possible, new and updated Educational Plans (EPs) are written at the end of elementary and middle school to establish goals that address each child’s social and emotional needs during their time in middle and high school.

A meeting to finalize these new plans will be held during 4th quarter by your current elementary and middle school gifted staff. Please be on the lookout for paperwork to be sent home with your child or in the mail.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I hope that you all enjoy your spring break.

As always, please reach out if you have any questions.
