Understanding Your Progress Report

Have questions about your progress report? Keep reading for more information about what the information means!

Course: COURSE NAME Segment 1 or 2

This is the name of the course you are taking and the current Segment you are enrolled in. Your Segment number will be a 1 or 2. Some courses, like Creative Photography, M/J Creative Photography, Digital Information, and HOPE have 2 segments. Other courses, like M/J Fundamentals of Coding and Business Keyboarding have only 1 segment.

Current Grade in the Course: 0 – 100%

This is your current grade in the course based on all submitted and graded assignments. A 60% or higher is considered passing.

Percent of Semester Coursework Complete: 0 – 100%

Students working according to the SJCSD calendar should be «Percent_Should_Be_Complete»% complete with their current segment. Students who are less than «Percent_Should_Be_Complete»% complete with their current segment, should complete an extra assignment a week until they are caught up.

Percent of Semester Coursework Complete is the percentage of the course you have completed so far. This includes all submitted and graded work up the previous day the progress report was emailed. For example, if the progress report was emailed on Monday, the Percent of Semester Coursework Complete would include all work submitted through Sunday.

Percent should be complete indicates the percent complete you should be according to your pace chart. For example, if according to your pace chart you should be 15% complete, but you are only 12% complete, that means you are missing 1 or more assignments and are considered behind pace.

Last Assignment Submitted On: «Last_Assignment_Turned_In_Date»

Remember, students should never go more than 7 days without working unless they have previously communicated with me.

Last Assignment Submitted Date tells the last time you submitted an assignment. Even if you are ahead of pace, you should never go more than 7 days without submitting an assignment.

Last Assignment Submitted: «Last_Assignment_Turned_In_Name»

Students should have submitted up to and including assignment «Should_Have_Submitted».

Last assignment submitted indicates the name of the last assignment you turned in.

The assignment you should have submitted is based off of your pace chart, and tells the assignment that you should have submitted in order to be on pace.

If the last assignment submitted is the same or ahead of the assignment your should have submitted, but your percent complete indicates you are behind pace, that usually means that you are skipping around and not working through the course in order.
