Pirates Past Noon.\u00a0 This was an adventurous story with many twists and turns.\u00a0 We discussed the elements of this book that made it both a fictional and non-fictional novel.\u00a0\u00a0 We also went over spelling patterns of r-controlled words and reviewed homophones.\u00a0 Lastly, questioning and answering techniques while reading were addressed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Writing:\u00a0 <em>We read The Best Part of Me<\/em> by Wendy Ewald.\u00a0 Students wrote opinion pieces describing what they felt what the best part of them including the entire writing process &#8211;
