Jones Cheater Pants as our 1st novel study.\u00a0 Students had great conversations about the importance of honesty in school and how to redeem ourselves when we make mistakes&#8230; because we ALL make mistakes! \u00a0 Our reading block also introduced \u201cRead to Self\u201d and \u201cWork on Writing\u201d. \u00a0 These activities were completed independently.\u00a0 We also focused on asking questions while we read and finding the answers in our text.\u00a0 Students used highlighters to show text evidence while looking for key details.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Writing<\/strong>:\u00a0 \u201cFree-wheeling\u201d sketches like author\/illustrator Donald Crews were practiced this week while we wrote stories with partners and continued writing various narratives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Math<\/strong>:\u00a0 Students were stretched to the limit with their number sense this week.\u00a0 We worked on <strong>Number Concepts<\/strong>.\u00a0 Practice counting backward, by two\u2019s, fives, ten\u2019s, and recognizing number patterns on 100&#8217;s charts!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Science<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0 We read &#8220;Eddie&#8217;s Eclipse&#8221;
