Important info regarding Mega Party:<\/span><\/p>\n

This is just a quick note with some guidelines for this year’s\u00a0MEGA\u00a0Party, coming up on Monday, May 22nd (with a rain date of Tuesday, May 23rd).<\/p>\n

First and foremost, we need volunteers!\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Parents, guardians, and any\u00a0building-access-approved<\/strong>\u00a0relative (we’re not picky!), please click this link to sign up to help out, either serving snow cones or monitoring a bounce house:\u00a0http:\/\/signup.com\/go\/MATBlOj<\/a><\/p>\n

– When students arrive for their time slot,\u00a0they should remove their shoes when they enter Coach Durr field<\/strong>.\u00a0 Shoes can be left at the fence. <\/strong>\u00a0We are highly (highly highly – did I mention highly?) encouraging students to WEAR SOCKS!<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0The bounce houses can get\u00a0hot<\/strong>, and socks will prevent little feet from being scorched.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Also, if you have extra socks your child could bring in to offer to someone else who might have forgotten, it would be greatly appreciated! \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

–\u00a0All students must\u00a0remove<\/strong>\u00a0eyeglasses<\/strong>,\u00a0jewelry<\/strong>, and any\u00a0hard<\/strong>\u00a0or<\/strong>\u00a0sharp objects<\/strong>\u00a0before<\/strong>\u00a0coming out to the field<\/strong>. \u00a0If a student can’t see to walk out to the field without eyeglasses<\/em>, they can wear them out to the field, but they need to be removed and handed to a teacher or parent volunteer before entering a bounce house<\/strong>. \u00a0If a student absolutely cannot see well enough to bounce without eyeglasses<\/em>, I am sure we can make an exception, but no guarantees that the eyeglasses will come out of the bounce houses in one piece. \u00a0Sport eyeglasses that will stay on a child’s head via strap are okay.<\/em><\/p>\n

– We will again have some\u00a0non-bounce<\/strong>\u00a0activities .. “shooting stars” basketball and tee-ball \u00a0so if kids can’t bounce for whatever reason, there will be something they can do.<\/p>\n

– All students must\u00a0empty their pockets<\/strong>\u00a0before coming out to the field. Otherwise, stuff LIKE FIDGET SPINNERS<\/em><\/strong> will invariably end up LOST ?\u00a0 . \u00a0Especially\u00a0no pencils, pens, or again, anything remotely sharp!<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0These are bad for anything\u00a0inflatable.<\/em><\/p>\n

– Absolutely\u00a0NO flips, wrestling, or other forms of “rough housing”<\/strong>\u00a0are allowed in the bounce houses.<\/p>\n

– There will be snow cones out at the field for kids.\u00a0 One snow cone per student.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Parents\/guardians should apply sunblock to their kids\u00a0before\u00a0they get to school.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– The schedule:<\/p>\n

8:40-9:30\u00a0Kindergarten<\/p>\n

9:40-10:30- 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0grade<\/p>\n

10:40-11:30- 5th<\/sup>\u00a0grade<\/p>\n

11:40- 12:30- 4th<\/sup>\u00a0grade<\/p>\n

12:40-1:30- 1st<\/sup>\u00a0grade<\/p>\n

1:40-2:30- 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0grade<\/p>\n

– If it rains\u00a0on Monday, tell your kids not to panic!\u00a0 The\u00a0party\u00a0will then happen on the following day (Tuesday).\u00a0 Hopefully if it rains this year, knowing this in advance will avoid any tears.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Teachers can bounce too!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Song requests (new this year!): http:\/\/bit.ly\/MP2017Song<\/a><\/strong> – <\/strong>Parents should fill out this form on behalf of their child, and all requests WILL be vetted for appropriateness!<\/p>\n
