We compared what elements in the story made it both a FICTION and NON-FICTION chapter book.\u00a0 I am looking forward to beginning the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>HYSTERICAL<\/strong><\/span> <em>Snot Stew<\/em> by Bill Wallace next week.\u00a0 Our reading block also focused on sorting and recognizing long o words.\u00a0 Lastly, we began our second set of wordly wise vocabulary words.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Writing:\u00a0 Students practiced making lists of &#8220;It happened to Me&#8221; as well as writing narratives about memorable events in their lives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Math:\u00a0 Numbers to 1,000 were tackled the week &#8211; students were challenged with their number sense through word problems, higher order thinking questions, and independent work revolving around larger numbers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Science: We discussed Earth Science and Earth&#8217;s Structures.
