We focused on goals and intentions this week for the 2nd half of 3rd grade.  Ask your child what they plan to work on!

We read “Be a Perfect Person in just three days” by Stephen Manes this week as our class novel to tie into our goals for the new year.  We completed some of the tasks the main character did – such as wear a broccoli necklace for 24 hours straight!  Ha!  Ask your child what the moral of this book was!

New A.R. goals have been set for the 3rd quarter.  Encourage your child to read 30 minutes (minimum) daily.

Please have your child wear school appropriate pajamas and tennis shoes on Tuesday, 12/21.  Don’t forget this day is EARLY RELEASE so please plan accordingly.

This week our class novel was The Christmas Genie by Dan Gutman. Each student wrote ONE wish on an index card and shared them just like in the book.  Ask your child what their ONE wish was! 🙂

We are looking forward to our first field trip in a LONG time!  Please make sure your child wears comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing because we will be walking to and from the Ampitheatre.  Also, make sure to email me if your child will need a bagged lunch from the lunchroom.  We are looking forward to a great day!
