Information regarding Boosterthon was sent home this week!  Please mark your calendars for this fun day and help us earn money for some updated playground equipment!  Our new swings from last year’s money earned are being put to good use daily as well as the much needed sod on the soccer field!

Please make sure you are practicing multiplication facts and strategies with your child.  This skill will help make division in 4th grade much less grueling.  Flashcards, verbal practice, or multiplication games on Dreambox are a great way to practice this skill.

This week we read “Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days” by Stephen Manes to tie in with our goal-setting for the remainder of the year.  We reached the end of this book and came to the punch line–that you cannot be perfect, and even if you could be perfect, it wouldn’t be of much use.  Was your child able to make it 24 hours with their broccoli necklace?!

Kicked off 2024 reflecting and goal-setting for the new year.  Ask your child what their focus is for the remainder of their 3rd grade school year!

Holiday Book Exchange

Your child should bring a chapter book (wrapped in fun wrapping paper!) to exchange with another student.  If you need ideas on where to find a book, check the following:  local book store, thrift store, home, etc.  

If you are exchanging a used book,  make sure it is gently used!  Please bring a wrapped book by December 15th.  Let me know if you have any questions or need help bringing in a book for the exchange.
