YAY FOR ANASTASIA! WINNER OF OUR ESTIMATION STATION! We had 317 total Hershey Kisses! Anastasia got the closest guess with 295!

Writing: Read Harry and the Terrible Whatzit by Dick Gackenbach, and The Little Old Lady Who was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams – students created their own “scary” stories using the writing process.

Breaking geodes to find what color minerals were inside!  

Sneak Peek at our “Best Part of Me” writing project from the book The Best Part of Me by Wendy Ewald.  Can you guess what your child chose as the best part of them?

Boosterthon Fun Run!  Thank you so much for helping us reach our school goal!  We had a blast!

Students presented their final draft writing projects to Ms. Garman, Ms. Antoine, 2 Flagler interns, and my Mom (a former 3rd grade teacher) – Susan Joyner!  Special thanks to my mom for bringing in a cookie cake for us to celebrate all our hard work!  Their writing was so impressive!  Ms. Jarocki and I are beyond proud!

The race is ON!  The results are in… Amelie is the fastest girl in our class and Colvin is our fastest boy!  We will check again halfway through the year to see if anyone catches up!
