{"id":1427,"date":"2015-09-10T14:27:09","date_gmt":"2015-09-10T18:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/teachers.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/racano-j\/?page_id=1427"},"modified":"2025-08-01T14:23:57","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T18:23:57","slug":"emotional-well-being","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/teachers.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/racano-j\/bridge\/emotional-well-being\/","title":{"rendered":"Social Perspectives"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-family: terminal, monaco, monospace;color: #800080\"><span style=\"color: #000080\">BRIDGE PROGRAM:<\/span> SOCIAL PERSPECTIVES CLASS<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The purpose of this course is to enable students with disabilities to acquire and generalize skills related to self management and interpersonal relationships in educational, home, and community settings to achieve annual goals based on assessed needs and the student\u2019s individual educational plan (IEP).<\/p>\n<p>The course is designed for students with disabilities who need intensive individualized intervention in social and emotional behavior to foster the acquisition and generalization of self-management and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n<p>Instructional activities involving practical applications of course requirements may occur in home, school, and community settings for the purpose of acquisition, practice, generalization, and maintenance of skills.<\/p>\n<p>The course is designed to address a range of abilities for our of students. In the Bridge Program we will focus on FOUR CORE ELEMENTS, these elements will be addressed individually each week and repeat throughout the year to ensure progress towards goals.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: terminal, monaco, monospace;font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Week 1:<\/strong> <\/span>EMOTIONS<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: terminal, monaco, monospace;font-size: 14pt\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Week 2:<\/span><\/strong> Communication (WITH KINDNESS)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: terminal, monaco, monospace;font-size: 14pt\"><strong><span style=\"color: #339966\">Week 3:<\/span> <\/strong>CHOICES<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: terminal, monaco, monospace;font-size: 14pt\"><strong><span style=\"color: #993366\">Week 4:<\/span><\/strong> Accountability<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-large;font-family: terminal, monaco, monospace\"><span style=\"color: #333399\"><strong><span style=\"color: #00ff00\">I<span style=\"color: #3366ff\">N<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">S<\/span><span style=\"color: #ffcc00\">i<\/span><span style=\"color: #800080\">d<\/span>e<span style=\"color: #333333\">OUT and what it Teaches Us\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<div id=\"stcpDiv\">Parents of have few guidelines about how to deal with issues resulting from their children\u2019s emotions. Not only intellectual, but also, social and emotional issues provide challenges for parents. Five social\/emotional traits\u00a0 (divergent thinking ability, excitability, sensitivity, perceptiveness and entelechy) are described, and the specific issues that parents must face to enable their children to reach their full potential are explored.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Pixar\u2019s <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><em>I<span style=\"color: #ff6600\">N<\/span><span style=\"color: #339966\">s<\/span><span style=\"color: #800080\">i<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">d<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\">e<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333\">OUT (and INside OUT 2)<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0is an exciting and compelling tour of inner life that\u2019s grounded in science plus an authentic understanding of how kids
