My name is Shannon Sugrue Mergel. I have been teaching at Hartley Elementary for 10 years in Fifth Grade, and I am so excited for my 11th year! I grew up in Marietta Georgia … Go Dawgs! I moved to St. Augustine in 2008 to attend Flagler College and graduated with bachelor degrees in Elementary Education (K-6) and Exceptional Student Education (K-12) with a certification in Middle Grades Math (5-9) and endorsements in Reading and ESOL (K-12). I am passionate about teaching and coaching children. In my free time I enjoy traveling, paddle boarding with my husband Greg, son Brooks, and dog Bentley.
