Teaching to me is not a profession, but a gift. It is the opportunity to assist an individual in embracing the challenge of rising to their potential. Every day is the prospect that I can make a difference in the life of a child. After my first educational course many, many years ago, I was hopelessly captivated with the passion to teach. Not only could I make a difference, but I could express my creativity in ways that would truly make a difference in the lives of children.

Beginning to teach at the age of twenty, I was amazed I received pay for something I loved and enjoyed so much. Even now, after thirty four years, the love of making a difference in each child grows more dear. I have acquired a greater appreciation and respect for teaching and am challenged, more than ever, in revealing the reservoir of possibilities in each individual.

Throughout the years, I have dedicated myself to be a lifelong learner. Always realizing that education is in a state of change, I have continued to expand my education. I graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Education, then went to Oral Roberts University to complete a Masters in Curriculum and then a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I received my National Board Certification in 2005 and am certificated in Gifted Education and ELL.
