– Physics Honors –

Welcome to Physics 1 Honors!  

Physics Honors is an interesting and exciting course involving conceptual theory and practical laboratory investigations.  Problem solving will be a central part of course work and will require the use of algebra, trigonometry, and geometry.

Topics will include: Kinematics, Dynamics, Force and Motion, Energy, Fluids, Thermal Physics, Waves, Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, and Atomic and Nuclear Physics.

Below is a list of materials needed for every class.

No. 2 Pencils, Pens (blue or black), one red pen, Lose-Leaf Notebook Paper, Graphing Paper, Scientific or Graphing Calculator (graphing recommended), and Class Binder/ Notebook (at least 1 and ½ In. size 3 ring binder… locking kind preferred)

Class Information for Parents: I post homework and other assignments on Schoology each night.  Please use your home access username and password to access your account to see all of your child’s classes.  Here is the link: stjohnsschools.schoology.com
