Meet Mrs. Underwood
My name is Mandy Underwood and I will be teaching 2nd grade this year. I live in Cimarrone with my husband Mike, and our 3 children. Wren is in 5th grade, Ryker is in 2nd grade and Roan just turned 1 in June! I enjoy CrossFit and spending time with my friends and family. This will be my 14th year teaching. I LOVE teaching here at CCE and love that my own children get to be a part of this great school and community!
I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida where I attended Christian Heritage Academy, First Coast Christian, and then graduated from University Christian in 1998. I have 2 older brothers and I spent my childhood wanting to do everything they did. I was definitely a tom-boy who loved to hunt, fish, surf, climb trees and doing just about anything that took me outdoors. Reading was my indoor love, my favorites as a kid were Where the Red Fern Grows, Bridge to Terabithia, and Anne of Green Gables. My mom was a Pre-K teacher and a daycare director, my dad was a Publix store Manager, they are both retired now. My mom has found her way back into working at her church’s daycare, where Roan goes during the day. My brother Charles Moseley and his wife Tanya Moseley are both working at Bartram Trail High School. My brother Ben and his wife Marlo live in St. Johns County as well. I have a very close family, and I feel extremely blessed to have most of my family so close. My husband’s parents live in Illinois on a farm and we LOVE spending a week there every Christmas and Summer.
