UNIFORMS

Uniforms

From beginning-level ensembles to professionals, performing music organizations wear uniforms. This is to create a professional appearance and to give a UNIFORM look to the ensemble so that there are minimal distractions from the music.

At Pacetti Bay Middle School, our band members wear uniforms.

BEGINNING BAND UNIFORM

Our beginning band will perform in a polo shirt, blue jeans and your choice of shoes (all within SJCSD dress code guidelines). All students will receive a polo shirt upon payment of their fair share. The blue jeans will be purchased on your own. A medium blue shade is preferred, but any blue jean is fine. Blue jeans that are part of the uniform are to have no holes or tears.

ADVANCED BAND UNIFORMS

Our advanced band will perform with either the casual or the formal uniform.

The casual uniform is the same as the beginning band uniform. On occasion, we may perform for a casual school event (pep rally, team celebration, etc.). For those events, we will wear the casual uniform.

The formal uniform consists of a black shirt, black dress pants, black shoes, black socks, black belt. All students will receive the uniform shirt upon payment of their fair share. The remainder of the uniform will be purchased on your own. When you are purchasing uniform items, be sure to purchase dress pants (not black denim). Belt straps should also be black. The belt buckle should be neutral (brushed nickel, chrome, brass, black, NOT a bright color). Shoes should be ALL black. They can even be sneakers, but they should be ALL black (uppers and soles).
