Meet Mrs. Schroeder

First and foremost, I am a mother to two pretty amazing boys and a wife to my high school sweetheart. Those two things drive me to be the best I can be. I strive to be the type of teacher that I would want my boys to have. That means my goal is to inspire children to learn, explore, and achieve greatness in every aspect of their lives…not just in academics!

I am entering my 15th year teaching. I am blessed to be part of the very school district that both my husband and I grew up learning in. I have had the opportunity to teach at both Cunningham Creek and Mill Creek Elementary schools during my career and have been mentored by some of the very best teachers around! (There is definitely a reason that St. Johns County continues to be the #1 school district in the state!) Last year, I was able to be part of the inaugural year at Picolata Crossing Elementary School. I am beyond excited to be a Puma!

One thing you will quickly learn about me is I love to read! Literature is my passion and I love finding new books to help light a passion for reading in children. My students always remind me that I use the phrase, “This is my favorite book/author!” pretty much every time I read to them…and they are right! Books allow us to go on so many adventures in all subjects.

Speaking of adventure…that is exactly what my life is! When I am not teaching, you can find me in one the following places: a baseball field, a beach (or any other place where water is nearby), or hiking the beautiful Georgia mountains. This Florida girl has a huge piece of her heart exploring the mountains and waterfalls of the South with my family!

Some other things I love (in no particular order): coffee, Florida Gators, Atlanta Braves baseball, UCF Knights, theme parks, photographs, reading, being a Mom, spending time with my family, and too many other things to note at this time. (We’ll call this list…To Be Continued!)
