ELA:  Students read and discussed Miss Holly is too Jolly by Dan Gutman. We also studied the suffix -ly and spelling patterns that were included, and reviewed authors purpose and text features to accompany our interim assessment. 

Writing:  Non-fiction writing

Math:  Chapter 5 Math Test and we began Chapter 6 – triple digit addition

  • 12/8:  Dan Sostrom – Mystery Reader (9:00-9:30), school chorus concert at 1:20
  • 12/9:  Breakfast with Santa/Festival of Trees 9:00-11:00
  • 12/11-12/14:  Mid-year i-Ready testing (I will send home results when they are available)
  • 12/14:  Student Holiday Lunches – our class lunch is from 11:20 – 11:50.  Come eat with your kiddo!
  • 12/15:  Reindeer ROUND-UP – 1:00!  YEE HAW! 
  • 12/18:  Class Pictures…. LOOK SHARP!
  • 12/19:  Holiday Shop Visit – 1:00-1:30
  • 12/21:  2nd quarter ends, LAST DAY TO EARN A.R.points and meet your A.R. goal!, EARLY RELEASE, POLAR EXPRESS DAY – WEAR YOUR JAMMIES TO SCHOOL!

 

Reminders:

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU PARENTS for all the donations for our class tree!  We had SO many turned in today!  Thank you for helping making this event a success.  I couldn’t ask for better families!  🙂
  • $5 for Reindeer Round-up and white shirt are due 12/8
