Behavior…..Character Counts!
Our school follows the district’s Character Counts! program. This is based on six character pillars: trustworthiness, caring, respect, responsibility, citizenship and fairness.
Birthdays
We recognize that your child’s birthday is an important day. Birthdays are announced on the PV/MKR Morning Show. Children receive a special birthday ribbon and pencil. PLEASE do not send birthday snacks or treats to school. Party invitations must be sent through the U.S. Postal Service.
Chaperones
All chaperone must be cleared to volunteer in St. Johns County. As a chaperone, you will be expected to assist in the supervision of students. Therefore, siblings are not allowed to attend in or out of school field trips. The county policy requires chaperone to ride the school bus to and from the event with the children.
Homework
Students will be assigned about ten minutes of homework per grade level per night. This may include take home reading books, spelling words, word families and math facts.
Money sent to school
All money must be sent to school in a sealed envelope or zip lock baggie. Make sure you put your child’s name, teacher’s name and purpose for the money. clip_image001
