I was raised in South Florida, Homestead to be exact, and lived there all my life. I did spend four years in Tallahassee while I attended Florida State University. Go Noles! While at Florida State I worked at an elementary school for two and a half years and decided there to pursue a life of working with children. I graduated with a degree in Family & Child sciences with an area of specialization in Elementary Education. I moved back to Homestead and completed my student teaching and began working at the same school in which I did my internship. During my five years working in South Florida I completed the Masters program in Elementary Education at Florida International University. I then decided to take my expertise and relocate and found St. Augustine the place to be. I was fortunate to become part of the Cunningham Creek family ten years ago when I began teaching Fourth Grade. My first class was so wonderful that I followed many of my students to Fifth Grade. I taught fifth grade for four years and now I have teaching Fourth grade for the last five years!
I am happily married to Mrs. Huber who is also a teacher here at CCE. I have two step children that attend middle school. Our family enjoys doing many things. Being raised in South Florida you couldn’t help but to enjoy the outdoors, especially fishing. I grew up bottom fishing on reefs, deep sea trolling, spear fishing, lobstering, and fishing the fresh water lakes and canals. I try to take the kids fishing whenever we can. Also, our family attempts to travel to different places. This was instilled in me when I was a young boy when I traveled during the summers with my grandparents. We love taking family trips and we have been to over 15 states together. We have even been to different countries to learn about other cultures and customs. We have thoroughly enjoyed every opportunity to travel abroad and look forward for the next opportunity to do so again in the near future!
