I want to thank you for letting me teach or child this year. I wish yesterday’s storm hadn’t caused me to forget my thank-you notes at home. Many thanks for all of the kind word, gifts and conversations that I have been blessed by this school year. All of the science grades are finalized on my end, but the school district still needs to put in all of the final exam scores, state test scores, etc. In the old days, we sent report cards home on the last day of school, but you will probably not know the final results until after the first week of June. Please, encourage your child to read this summer and to save their science text and INBs for next year. If the INBs were turned in right at the end, I have them in crates for the 8th grade teachers to give back next Fall. Again, I loved watching your child learn and grow this year and thank you for your kindness, patience and support. One last time…

Monday, May 1 & Tuesday, May 2, we had a formative assessment on Biological Change Through Time. I collect INBs that day, to check pages 59-76. Page 73 is a crossword Review. The review packet went on pages 74, 75 & 76 ( as it was 3 pages). all scores from the formative & INBs ARE IN HAC (as of 4 pm on Tuesday, May 2. Please check HAC and encourage your child to complete the INB pages 59-76 if there are blank in those spots & to turn it in to the bin ASAP!!
Word Mural Gallery Walk Definitions for INB pages 59-61:Applying genetics word mural gallery walk definitions We did this on Wednesday & Thursday (April 5 & 6). It was due Tuesday & Wednesday (April 11th & 12th-depending upon Maroon or Silver classes). It will be checked on Thursday & Monday ( April 13th & 17th). This is a firm deadline.
REMEMBER! I give class time every day to write homework in the planner. There should be something written for Science every single day that we have had class this year (even when I have a substitute)!
ADVANCED/HONORS classes have taken a total of 4 Prefix/Suffix/Symbol quizzes that will count toward this quarter. I will be dropping the lowest 2 and putting the scores in HAC this week. If any were missed, they count as the dropped quizzes.
